Woodstock Era Classic Rock

YASGUR’S FARM would like to thank our dear friend TEX, the original manager of the famed Osprey, in Manasquan… as well as all of the fabulous staff at The Osprey for our recent show at this terrific venue. To our loyal fans for your forever support, again… we give special thanks, and also shout-outs to… Pam Glasse and her sisters, Janet & Pat, Cousin John & Dorian, Rob Wolf & Friends, Bob & Jodi Goldman, Lee Finkelstein, Rich & Kimmy Mongiardo, Frank Rathbone, Lenore, Boop and Cindy, Metal Joe, Rich & Louise, FarmChick who drove all the way from Virginia, Dave & Wilbur who came from Long Island representing Little John who’s still recovering from treatment and to all those not listed here… we had SO MUCH FUN playing music at that historic club.

Dan Glasse was an original member of Yasgur’s Farm. In 1979, the year the band got started, not only was he our lead singer and front man, he played harp better than anyone I knew, and he was great on keyboards, as well. His main axe though, were congas, his rhythmic and melodic playing was mesmerizing.

We rode to almost every show together, five or six nights per week and he never missed a show, or was late. He was always prepared and ready to rock, for over ten years. During that time, the music we made was the music we loved, and the people did too, and we became very successful in NJ and the tri-state area. He was truly a monster of a musician and band brother, but I will miss him most, as my friend.

*From August 15-18, 1969… approximately 500,000 people gathered at Max Yasgur’s 600 acre dairy farm for “The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair”. It was billed as an Aquarian Exposition.
